My DVD-RW no longer recognises blank DVDs or CDs when I go to burnstuff onto them. How do I fix this?
My DVD drives both vanished from the my computer menu recently due to me installing some new writing software. When I checked Device Manager I saw therewas an "error code 39". I havesince rectified the problem following Microsofts advice. Both drives read fienbut this morning whenI went to burn a new cd on the DVD-RW drive it just keeps saying "there is no disk in the drive" and keeps asking me to insert a writable disk. Its definately not the CDs as I tried all 25 of the ones I had and used them in a friends PC and they work fine. Someonesuggested a driver problem but I didn't think optical drives needed drivers. I don't usually pray; but if you're out there...please...help me Superman!
1. check the jumper setings. if promlem still persists
2. check the driver setting.
or reinstall it again.
