Blu-ray and DVDS don't play on PS3?
Ok, I'm not fussed about the DVDs as I have a DVD player but Blu-ray aren't playing on my PS3. I can get games to work fine but just blu-ray movies wont play.
Basically when I insert the disc it goes from the menu screen to the screen where you select whether I want the Internet thingy for Blu-ray I've tried both yes and no and either way it just goes to a blank screen - I've sat there for an hour because someone said it takes a while to load and it was still the same after that.
I'm using an HDMI cable on a Samsung HD TV... I've set the resolution, I've turned off the 24hz thingy in BD/DVD settings.... I've played around with display settings, reset the whole ps, I believe I have done everything that most people are suggesting but I still can't get it to work.
Any suggestions?
check the troubleshooting guidelines on the playstation.com site. if it still gives you trouble...try sending the ps3 to the warranty center through which the website directs you to. had the same problem, and wound up using the 1 year warranty that comes with ps3.
